Location

The Blue Cottage is located in the small village of High Coniscliffe just outside of Darlington.  Nestled near the banks of the River Tees and situated on the Teesdale Way the cottage is in a prime location for exploring Teesdale, Swaledale & Wensleydale. 

The Historic market town Barnard Castle is less than 15 minutes car journey away and boasts attractions such as Bowes Museum, Egglestone Abbey, High Force and not forgetting walks with stunning scenery of the Tees gorge. 

If you are wanting to venture out a little further you can also visit the Lake District in just over an hour which is perfect if you are wanting to explore the various lakes, mountains & coastlines of England's biggest National Park.
